One Week 'Til My Senioritis Is Cured

Another week of college has passed. Usually, I'd be like "blah". However, the calendar says I have one more week of class to go. It's actually supposed to be 2 weeks, but all my finals were moved ahead; thus, I have one week of LSU left.

It's a busy week, though:

Monday - write last journal entries for Information Systems class
Tuesday - Information Systems final
Wednesday - E-Commerce final
Thursday - turn in Strategic Management case study; present Information Systems final project
Friday - turn in 10-page ISDS Internship paper

I'm not worried about the finals. I just have to get the papers finished. I haven't even started on either one yet. However, I did well enough on my Management final that whatever I get on my case study won't hurt my B; I also can't do well enough on it to get up to an A. I think I might ask the professor if I can skip doing it.

Tuesday night, I went to a ceremony where we got our class rings. Other than the actual receipt of the rings, it felt like an infomercial for the alumni association. I already joined, but I still haven't recieved anything from them; however, they did already charge my credit card, so I should receive something in return. By the way, the food at the reception was terrible.

I noticed that there was a bug in the comments system; I was wondering why I wasn't getting much love in my blog. Anyway, that's obviously fixed. So now I expect some love, y'all.

Speaking of web, the company I'm interning with had a lunch meeting with the potential client we've been chasing for the past couple of months. We went to TJ Ribs, which is always tasty. All we need to do is write up and sign the contract. Then, I'll reveal here who it is. You'll be surprised. At least it gives me some freelance work after I graduate.

I have to go send out some graduation announcements. I love those, because they equal $$$. I made a killing off of high school graduation, so I can only imagine the blingtasticness of graduating LSU. Later.

Facebook Is The Shiznit

I know I'm always the last to jump on any trends. However, I finally joined up on Facebook. For those who don't know, it's a way to basically build a social profile with your fellow college students via the Internet. I just joined up on Monday night, but I'm damn popular already. Anyway, here's my profile. If you join, you can see my list of "facebook friends".

To be honest, I really didn't think much about it until I heard about the death of Dustin "DC" Clemons; he had over 1,000 "facebook friends". While I personally didn't know him, he was an awesome guy. I think he was the most popular non-football-player at LSU. He will be missed.

Unfortunately, DC wasn't the only death in the past few days. Kelli Williams, a girl I went to high school with, died on Monday of unknown causes. She will also be greatly missed.

While it sucks that so many good people have left this world so early, I'm trying to keep my head up.

This weekend, I went to my first arena football game. While it was pretty much a squash, it was still awesome to see the Voodoo win another one. Maybe the Saints can take a lesson from them. Oh yeah, the crowd was much bigger than a lot of Hornets games this season. Since I got some suite tickets, I got to watch the game in the lap of luxury. And our bartender was awesome.

My internship is almost over, but it seems we're very, very close to landing the big client we've been going after. If we get it, I'll likely get to stay on as a freelancer. I can make some money while I get my jaw surgery done and recuperate from it. I still have to look for full-time work, though.

I'm gonna wrap this journal up now, so I can go play around with Facebook some more.

Senioritis Rears Its Lazy Head

As I write this, I have 3 and a half weeks of regular class left, and one final during finals week. I just want to get it over with, dammit! Group projects, papers, tests, and other crap rear their ugly head.

Speaking of class, if I had the balls to, I would say this to Dr. Shaw during ISDS 4125:

"I'm bored. You're boring, Shaw. I'm gonna go and watch TV."

- Philip J. Fry, Futurama - ep. "Anothology of Interest I"

(Actually, I might not. I don't want to fail. However, I should have taken Houston back in the fall.)

I finished up my on-campus job as lab monitor this Sunday. I celebrated with a cheap dinner from Church's Chicken. Actually, this means I'll rack up more debt on my credit card. Nahh. My internship pays pretty decently. And we have another meeting with our prospective client on Friday morning.

Did I mention I love my credit card? Figure that the price of gas is $2.15 around here. With my credit card, it goes down to $2.04. Actually, I could kinda milk it at Wal-Mart and probably take it below $2 a gallon. Actually, with the gas mileage my Saturn gets, I'm actually paying less than I did with the ol' SS. And I had that when gas was $1 - $1.50 a gallon!

Now, I think my health may be starting to suck. I tried to go give blood yesterday, but was turned away because my pulse was too high. I'll try tomorrow, but I don't know if my body's starting to crap out on me or what.

I stuck Version 3 of thebigtymer.com up in the web designs photo album. I'll add the sites for the old Crescent City Radio Connection and SIPES' New Orleans chapter sometime this weekend, so look for them.

For The Love Of Money

Seems I've been making a lot of bling today. Now I just wish I had a higher limit on my credit card. But trust me, the Citi Dividend Platinum select is awesome for the 5% back at gas stations.

I just sold a couch and made a few dollars of it. And I mean JUST. I put the ad up in the Union at 4 today. It was paid for and picked up at 7. Damn, that was quick.

I also sold The Crescent City Radio Connection. I made some jack off of that. Now it's up to the new owner to do what they want to do with it. At least I don't have to deal with lawyers anymore. Haha. Some lawyers are cool, but most of them suck ass.

While I was on vacation last week, I missed Chacko playing on Jeopardy. He lost, and it sucks even worse because he led the game early on. Maybe if I had been watching, he would have won.

Vacation was pretty good. Up in the ATL, they have some awesome places to eat. Of course, you know I love Krystal. But Bojangle's has some damn good chicken. Also, Zaxby's royally kicks Raising Cane's ass for chicken fingers... did I mention they have wings as well? I wish they had them down here; they are just that awesome.

Now that I've got money, I've got to go spend it. Later.
