Trying To Find A Money-Making Idea
As of right now, I'm still sending out resumes. I guess it's been about 3-4 months since I started seriously looking for a job. I'm not too worried, since it does seem to take a good bit of people longer than that to find a job.
I've even applied to Best Buy and Circuit City here in Slidell to try and find a job. It wouldn't be anything too serious, but I could make some money.
That leads me to my question: how can I use the Internet to make some money?
My first thought was to go to an online casino and do a little gambling. With my luck, that would never work. Maybe I could build an online casino and get people to gamble with me. Nah, that would never work.
As I've been browsing the web, I see that something really popular is personal finance blogs. People tell all about their personal finances and how they invest and spend money. They can make money by hawking credit cards and mutual funds and all that crap.
I'm thinking of doing a personal finance blog. I'm considering waiting until I find a job, but why not now? I already have credit cards and a good bank balance. I could put that knowledge to good use.
What do you all think? Should I start a personal finance blog? I love money, so I could write about it.

Trying To Restore Some Normalcy
Sorry I haven't updated as quickly as usual. Cleaning up after that bitch Katrina has been a bitch. And now, there might be another bitch stopping by all uninvited; you know her as Rita. I hope she goes to Houston; I have no beef with H-Town, but we don't need another bitch stopping by anytime soon.
It's been almost a couple of weeks since we got back, and everything is almost normal. We have every service back... except cable TV. Supposedly, the bastards at Charter are saying "We're Working On It!", but I haven't seen them do any work. I heard that Charter may file for bankruptcy soon; good for them! A company with as shitty service as they have DESERVES to fail!
So... why don't we just switch to the dish? It seems the parents have bought into the BS spewed by Charter about satellite service being bad. Well, some of our neighbors have the dish, and they're watching TV right now. They don't have to wait a month or two! I even offered to pay if we would switch to satellite, but that didn't even work. Charter, I hope you burn in hell!
(I know that there are more important things in life right now than not having cable, but I saw that episode of Family Guy, and I know you did too!)
I'm still looking for a job, but I'm never looking to live near the New Orleans area again! I think something might come real soon. It seems that being affected by Katrina gets you extra sympathy points, and I'm taking as much advantage of that as possible.
Before I close, I'll mention that I've already donated to the Red Cross. If you want to help, CLICK THE GOOGLE ADS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. 100% of the money I make from those until the end of the year goes to the Red Cross. So do your part.

I'm Back After That Bitch Katrina.
I just made it back home a few hours ago after evacuating from Katrina. We spent time with family in the Atlanta area. I think we spent about a week and a half there? I lost track of the time.
We were originally gonna stay with my sister in Natchitoches, but the house she shares with 2 other guys would not comfortably fit all of us. We left there Sunday night to drive all through the night into Atlanta. We got there just in time to watch all the weather idiots stand out in hurricane conditions for ratings.
We left this morning and got home around 5 PM. We stopped in Birmingham to pick up some 12-packs of Cheerwine (it's like Dr. Pepper Red Fusion, but with more bite; it's also so damn hard to find!), and we also stopped in Picayune to top off the gas tank.
We were lucky to get away with minimal damage. All of the damage to our house (minus the few shingles the wind blew off the roof) was caused by a fallen pine tree. It damaged some of the roof awning by the front door and the windshield on my dad's old piece-of-shit truck. The tree actually landed on the truck, and that's all the damage it caused. Amazing, ain't it?
We are definitely lucky, compared to the people in south Slidell, New Orleans, Metairie, Chalmette, Biloxi, Gulfport, and various points between. My prediction of New Orleans becoming a "disease-infested fishbowl" came true, unfortunately. I know they'll rebuild.
We should all donate money. Once I can cash some checks at the bank, I'm donating to the Red Cross. Also, pray for everyone who needs it.
