I Bought Coca-Cola Caps On eBay!

Ever since I started doing the MyCokeRewards program, I've been saving up for a big prize -- a free year of Coke. Well, I must be a crazy bastard, as I spent $140 on eBay. I bought 200 caps, but I ended up with 223! I can only enter 10 a day -- I've only entered 30 so far. I definitely have enough to get a free year of Coke, and then some.

To make some of that money back, I'm collecting Diet Pepsi Box Office codes to sell on eBay. I'll probably put them up in late May, so I'll definitely have a lot to sell. I could probably have over $50 in codes by then!

I'm still waiting on a decision to Kennesaw State, but right now, I'm leaning towards Georgia State. I guess it's because they're closer to the ATL, they're a highly-rated school, and they made a very quick turnaround on my application.

Since I can't seem to get hired, and I'll likely be a grad student, I applied for a Citi MTVu Student Mastercard and was instantly approved. I also applied for a Discover Student Card, and I'm waiting on their decision. Feels like the Georgia State and Kennesaw State of credit cards.

I guess it might be a good thing to go to Georgia for grad school. After seeing the results of all the New Orleans elections, I know this place is gonna be the laughing stock of the United States -- even more than usual. Let's see, the people of New Orleans either want "Mr. Chocolate City" Ray Nagin or "Good 'Ol Boy" Mitch Landrieu as their mayor. It seems politics in New Orleans is only "skin deep", IMHO. Also IMHO, New Orleans is screwed.

It does sound like the "politics as usual" in New Orleans is pissing me off. However, it seems likely that I'll be moving away in 3 months -- maybe sooner? They can have it, I guess.

I have to wait until tomorrow to add more MyCokeRewards codes. Only 173 more to go!

Already Accepted To Georgia State!

I recently got an e-mail with the news that I was accepted to Georgia State University's Master's program in Information Systems. Freakin' sweet! I'm surprised because I finished my application to Kennesaw State first. I guess they'll be sending a decision soon. If they send me a denial, Hell will hath frozen over.

At least I have a backup plan in case I can't find a job by summer. However, I have been to three different interviews since I wrote. In fact, I just got back from one. We'll see how these play out.

I also found out that driving around Mid-City is confusing as hell if you've never done it before.

I also recently switched over to Hibernia (soon to be Capital One) for my banking needs. Whitney sucks ass. If I get a job in Louisiana or Texas, I'm all set. If not, at least I was able to sell back my Whitney checks (which I never use) and get Hibernia checks for free as a bonus. I'm not sure what bank to use if I go up to grad school. I mean, Hibernia isn't up in the Atlanta area. I guess it'd be someone like Wachovia, Bank of America, or Suntrust.

I'm also collecting MyCokeRewards codes right now. I know there are people who drink Coke, but don't collect the codes. If they would, please send me those codes. Thank you much!

Now, all I have to do is wait on Kennesaw State's decision. Again, if I get a denial from them, hell will hath frozen over. Either that, or the Saints will have won the Super Bowl. You choose.

Grad School Apps Complete!

Last week, my graduate school applications for Kennesaw State and Georgia State were completed. The holdup was the GRE scores. Speaking of those scores, here they are:

Verbal: 490
Quantitative: 720
Analytical Writing: 4.5

Those really are good scores. However, I feel I could have done better on the Verbal section. English has always been my worst subject. Anyway, I'll know within a month whether I've been accepted to either school.

The only way I won't be going to grad school in the fall is if I get a job by July (when it's time to pay tuition for the fall). Right now, it seems like I won't get a job. I get less respect than fuckin' Jabberjaw!

Back to the good news: I'm in this March Madness pool, and I'm 10th out of 4,407 with the final left to go. Unfortunately, I picked Memphis to take the whole damn thing, and they didn't even make the Final Four.

Now I'm going to send out some more resumes. I mean, no one has this much crap-ass luck when looking for work!
