Getting Down To Crunch Time
Well, I have less than 2 months to find a job before I make a final commitment to going to grad school. This will determine whether I move to Atlanta... or move somewhere else.
As I mentioned, I had an interview last Thursday. On Monday, I got a call saying they were going to hire someone else, but it would have been me had that person not taken the offer. At least I was #2. But is that a good thing?
And, by the way, the job would have been at a Budweiser distributor. Sorry, but no free beer.
I had another interview today, and it went pretty well. I might get to the second interview, but I might not. Vote in the new poll as to whether I'll get a job before mid-July. Even I don't think I will.
Because of that, I have to eBay to make some money. Right now, I'm selling some Movie Cash certificates. Right now, I have 4 certificates available, and the highest bid is $22.50. Think about that... 4 movie tickets for less than $6 a ticket! Why not try to beat that?
I also finally got some use out those MyCokeRewards codes. They finally got free 2-liter coupons up, and I got some. I hope they bring back the free 12-pack coupons though. Easier to manage!
I hope I get more interviews soon.

FINALLY... The BigTymer... Has Been Accepted... To
Last Friday, I got a letter in the mail that said I've been accepted to Kennesaw State. To that, I ask: what the hell took them so long?
In fact, I've pretty much made up my mind where I'm going to go should I end up going to grad school this fall. Georgia State. I have 4 reasons as to why.
1. They quickly make decisions!
2. They're located in downtown Atlanta, close to a bunch of big companies. Coca-Cola, Turner Broadcasting, etc.
3. U.S. News and World Report gave the business school a top rating
4. I don't have to wait until the day before classes start to register. In fact, I already have my fall semester planned.
As I've said before, the only thing that would keep me from grad school is a job. I have an interview later this week.
Right now, I'm feeling pretty good. I picked up the Times-Picayune and read Dave Walker's column on WRNO possibly going to a news/talk format (which is EXACTLY what we don't need!). I liked these particular few paragraphs.

Guess who he got that tidbit from!

The BigTymer Goes Fuckin' Emo!
I never thought I'd get to this point, but here I am. It seems there are a lot of things that are pissing me off right now.
- I still can't get hired. I got another rejection letter in the mail today! The last 3 interviews I went to, I get 3 nays. At least, unlike certain other people, they told me something instead of cowering in fear.
- I have enough points to get a free year of Coke from MyCokeRewards, and they take it off the damn site! I'm trying to find out if they're gonna bring it back.
- As I mentioned before, I got approved for the MTVu card, but they sent a Visa. I tried to get it changed to a Mastercard, and they refused, so I closed it. At least Citi consolidated my credit line into my Dividend, so I have an $8,500 limit on that card now.
- Discover wanted me to call them and verify some info, so I did. Sounds like I'd finally get a Discover card, right? Not! I called to check the status, and I was turned down. I can't wait to get the mail from them with the 'stupid reason du jour' they denied me.
- Kennesaw State still hasn't made a decision on my application! I called them earlier this week, and there was supposed to be a decision by today. Still, nothing! What the hell is taking them so long? It took Georgia State less than 2 weeks to admit me, and they're a bigger school!
Right now, I feel like one of those damn emo fags who posts on their blog about how much they hate themselves. I need something to cheer me up.
The only thing that has was the JazzFest afterparty I went to on Bourbon Street last Saturday. That gave the opportunity to stop at Tropical Isle and use their bathroom. I never knew there were video games that attached to toilets! Look at my moblog and see.
Anyway, I need something to cheer me up right now. I hate feeling like a damn emo fag!
