I'm Redesigning My Website... Really!
I know I've been saying for a couple of months that I'm going to redesign my website. Well, things keep coming up... and I don't get paid to do my own website, so it ain't a high priority.
Well, this week is our company's national meeting. We all have to attend it on Monday (it is in Chocolate City!), but we have to go to work the rest of the week. The question is, for someone who supports sales reps, what do you do when they're not out selling? I guess I'll bring the ol' notebook and start doing a redesign.
I'm hoping to get the site redone by mid-April. Why then, you ask? I've made plans to grace H-Town on the weekend of the 22nd. I've already requested time off work (since I have PTO, and I rarely get sick) to go attend the Grand Prix of Houston that weekend. Ah, to take a vacation to watch the stars and cars of the American Le Mans Series and the Champ Car World Series! I'll be getting tix, and finding a hotel this week.
NOTE TO SELF: Make sure not to mention I'm from New Orleans. Supposedly, Houstonians don't like us because we sent all the criminals and welfare queens to them.
My weight loss is coming along nicely. In 2 weeks, I lost 4 pounds and 2% of my body fat. That doesn't even include today's weigh-in. I gotta go do that.
Time to redesign my site... for real this time!

Daylight Suck-ings Time
It's the time of the year I hate most. Daylight savings time. I hate it because we have to "spring forward" an hour. Not only do I lose sleep when we set the clocks forward, I lose sleep for a while after that.
It's important that you get sleep when you try to make lifestyle changes to lose weight.
For a week now, I've been focused on counting calories and exercising hard in order to get down to 175 pounds. I haven't been that weight since high school. After one week, I haven't lost any pounds; however, my body fat percentage went down by 1%. If nothing else, I've discovered that I haven't been paying attention to portion sizes. I'm eating less now, but I still feel full afterwards.
I've also gotten tax refunds, both federal and state. I got everything back that was paid to the feds (thank you, Saver's Credit!). Thanks to them, it was also free for me to prepare and file. I wish I could say the same for the state. I had a tax refund of $10, but because they don't participate in free state preparation and e-filing, it cost me $9.95 to do so. That netted me a nickel from the state.
Anyhow, gotta get some sleep.
