TheBigTymer 2.Oh - Soon

You may have noticed some things on this site don't look quite right. I had a script bust when my web host made some changes last weekend. I have things temporarily held down, but it's given me time to consider some things.

I'm considering it time that I redesign this site. Plus, I can't hold it off any longer -- I gotta go Web 2.0. I've been studying galleries of 2.0 designs. I'd like to be part of the cool crowd. I hope to start on a new design this weekend. I think I'll work something with the 960 grid system.

In other news, our department went to Tangredi's Italian Kitchen for lunch today. One co-worker is leaving, and another just came in. I think we should have spaced them out better for the fact that we could have two lunches on the ol' expense account. The spaghetti & meatballs were awesome.

I also went to the dentist yesterday. Since I hadn't been in 18 months, I got the full debridement, and that shit hurts. I have to go back in next Wednesday to get the cleaning finished. Kids, this is why you see your dentist every 6 months.

Well, time to go to the drawing board, to start on the path to 2.Oh.

Bonuses Rule!

Since the last time I wrote, I got my bonus. I couldn't believe how big the check was! The best part was that this was the small check. There's a bigger one in February. The birthday lunch was fun as well. We had lasagna and those awesome frosted chocolate brownies.

Last weekend, I went to Tusculum Lanes for some bowling. They had a deal -- $8.99 for two hours of bowling and shoes. For me, that was 7 games worth. I was pretty consistent in the 120-140 range, except for a 93. Did I mention it was cosmic bowling, and the strobe lights really distracted me during that game? Did you also know they had a Muzak service especially for bowling alleys that sounds like Radio Disney?

I haven't really spent my bonus on anything. I'm saving it towards the house down payment. Speaking of that, I decided to hold off a few months on moving out of this apartment. It'll give a chance to sock some more away, and prices are still coming down.

To save some more money, I'm dumping the landline, and replacing it with a prepaid cell phone so I can maintain a local number. The math works out.

That's all for now. I know it ain't much, but I'm surprised people still read this thing, so I didn't want them thinking I'm dead or anything.
