All Alone In An Empty House
For the past week, I've had the house all to myself. Since my apartment won't be ready for a couple more weeks, I had to live somewhere. However, it just feels so damn empty up in here. Yeah, I can do what Alanis Morisette recommended and walk around naked in my living room. I can play music as loud as I want. Still, it's so lonely.
The hardest part of living alone is making a budget. Gotta pay for electricity, water, internet access, television, insurance, rent, etc., etc. It makes me realize that I'm grossly underpaid at work. My review is in a couple of months, and I'm hoping for a pretty good raise. In my own mind, I feel I should get a raise. However, my mind doesn't make those decisions.
Speaking of work, they're sending me to Atlanta in July for a seminar on diplomacy in the workplace. Finally, a class I can use. Much better than classes on Outlook and Access, that's for sure.
Enough ranting. I am actually being successful on my weight loss so far. As of June 4, I am at 223 pounds and an estimated 25% body fat. On March 4, I was 240 pounds and an estimated 36% body fat. I don't do anything fancy, but I make sure I do it. I gotta get up the weight loss section this weekend.
Time for bed, and fun with traffic on the way to work. Did I mention some douchebags tried to wreck me on the way home this afternoon? Yep, tried to run me off the road on purpose. I tried calling the police number, but it didn't work. Too bad.
