Except For Continental, I Had A Superbad Christmas
Even though we already had the Christmas party for work, that wasn't the end of Christmas awesomeness at work. We got some awesome Christmas gifts from the boss, and we had a pretty good potluck lunch as well. Much better than a frozen turkey, that's for sure.
I had the chance to go back down to Louisiana for Christmas. Now, being down for Christmas and flying back up was pretty good. However, flying down to Lafayette sucked ass. Let me tell the story:
After work on Friday, I hustled to the Nashville airport. I would be taking Continental to Lafayette by way of Houston. I made it in plenty of time to grab a burrito and get on my flight. When I made it to Houston, I found out that the flight to Lafayette had been cancelled due to fog.
The next flight wasn't until 6 AM the next morning, and since it's a weather-related delay, they don't have to provide you shit (and the bitches at the ticket counter sure let us know that). Sleeping in an airport is no fun, especially since they tell you what the terror threat level is every 15 minutes. By the way, it's orange.
So I made it to Lafayette at 7 AM. My luggage didn't make it in until noon. Don't ask. Needless to say, I had no troubles when I flew American on the way back. Next time, I think I'll drive.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to a great 2008. I'll have some time on Tuesday to make some changes to the site, so look out for those.
