Random Thoughts On A Friday Night
Last Monday, the company I have an internship with had a meeting with a potential client to do a website or two. So we show up, but the client doesn't. I've had experiences where I thought people were ducking me, and I thought this at first. Turns out, the client DID call to cancel; my boss forgot to check his voicemail before we all showed up at the meeting. Go figure.
Anyway, we have a meeting with the client this Wednesday. I think we'll call to confirm everything this time, though.
So, midterms are coming up. I only have three to deal with. One is this Tuesday, and the other two are next week. I feel okay, not great, about them. I'll feel better once I see my grade on them.
KLSU SUCKS. I just felt like writing that.
You know, the idea of free samples ain't so bad; I wish more stores would do them. I recently went to Wal-Mart and got a free sample of Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. I bought a 12-pack. You do the math.
Speaking of buying crap at Wal-Mart, I was surprised when checking my credit card statements. I get 5% cash back at supermarkets and gas stations, and 1% everywhere else. I thought Wal-Mart would only be 1%, but I guess when you buy food there, you get 5% cash back. That's pretty damn sweet.
You know, I wish they'd not only open a White Castle around here, but a Del Taco as well. I heard they kick Taco Bell's ass, and they also have Taco Tuesdays (3 tacos/$1). That would be sweet.
I gotta go study for a midterm, so that's it for these completely random thoughts.
