Some Changes Here, And Some More Random Thoughts
Well, you've probably noticed the weather crap on the sidebar of every page, and you've also probably noticed the Google ads on top of the page. The weather thing is something I'm trying out. And the Google ads... well, I can't tell you to click on the Google ads. However, if you see something you like, I won't stop you from doing anything.
I'm driving around, and I see the price of gas is almost $2 a gallon. Usually, we have cheap gas down here, so I'm a little shock. Luckily, my credit card gives me 5% cash back on gas. The only catch is that this particular credit card supposedly doesn't do the 5% at Murphy USA stations (you know, the ones in Wal-Mart parking lots). I haven't tried it, but I heard that people get the 5% back at Costco stations, so I dunno. I won't mention the credit card unless I can find some affiliate who'll give me money if you applied for said credit card.
You know, I'm starting to hate some of these particular ads on TV, like the ones about mesothelioma. You know, "if you have mesothelioma, call the law offices of James Sokolov". I don't like these attorneys who want to make big bucks quick. Their ads are annoying like Morris Bart. But, he is on my side, right? Well, only if I won a shitload of cash.
Speaking of which, I got a call today from some woman asking for me. I had no idea who she was, so she thought I was the wrong Arthur Rymer and hung up. I checked the phone number afterwards, and it was an attorney at a law firm in New Orleans. Am I in trouble? I hope not.
Well, I got two group projects to work on. Gotta get that college degree. Then I can get a job.
And that meeting I mentioned last time? It went great; we have a second meeting with the client Monday. I won't mention who the client is unless we get the gig and get a good product out. You'd probably be surprised who this client is; it's more surprising than Lil' Jon doing a love ballad! That reminds me to download an MP3 of "Lovers and Friends".
Wednesday night, I went to Sogo (it's in downtown BR, right by the Argosy Casino) to catch open-mic standup night. I never contemplated the analogy between Super Mario Bros. and getting high, but I think I'll start now.
Anyway, I gotta go refine some things on my site. Hopefully, I'll have it done tomorrow. Cheers.
